With 300 members, the Minalogic competitive cluster in Grenoble brings together major corporations, small and mid-sized businesses, universities and research centers, government agencies and organizations and investors from the public and private sectors.
Minalogic’s goal is to foster research-led innovation in intelligent miniaturized products and solutions for industry; the cluster's focus on innovation and its participatory governance model are designed to ensure efficient, results-oriented cooperation among cluster partners.
Since the creation of Minalogic in 2005, 388 projects have been certified and financed for total funding of €765 million (local and national funding), with a total R&D budget of €2 billion.
About the Grenoble area
Grenoble is one of the worlds top microelectronics clusters and is well known in the EDA community.
Many US companies active in EDA have activities and/or partnerships in the area, including Minalogic’s members Atrenta, Cadence, Mentor Graphics and Synopsys. At DAC, an impressive percentage of exhibitors have been French companies, over half of which are Grenoble-based, many of them members of MINALOGIC (lister les 9 PME mises en avant), with numerous others in attendance (STMicroelectronics, Kalray, Tiempo…).
