Membership levels in the MEMS Industry Group vary, but all are active memberships which require interaction between member, MIG staff and other member companies. Active membership is available to companies directly involved in the commercial production, development, or manufacture of MEMS and MEMS-enabled devices. Active membership includes voting privileges. Dues are based on annual revenues as follows:

The MIG Large Active membership is designed for those companies with annual gross revenue over $100 million who are ready to take a leadership position in the industry group in order to help MIG determine the best courses of action for the industry as a whole. Not only do these industry leaders have the right to vote but they have the opportunity to participate in working groups of their peers to steer the direction of MIG's annual industry report.

Industry Leader members are called upon to work with MIG to channel the resources of current members and the MIG staff, to assist in suggesting new ways the group can help the industry, and often to help MIG find new and better ways to address industry needs. Large member companies offer critical and constructive ways that MIG can add value to membership.

Becoming a MIG Large Active member indicates that you want to shape the future of the MEMS Industry. You are willing to share your base of knowledge and experience with MIG members facing commercialization issues.

The MIG Medium Active Membership is designed for companies with annual gross revenues between $50 - $100 million.

If your company seeks to increase its knowledge base of the MEMS industry for the purpose of education, research, consulting, or publication, a MIG membership is perfect for you. As a medium active member, you can make direct contact with both industry leaders as well as new to market companies in the MEMS industry.

The MIG Small Active membership is designed for those companies who have a gross annual revenue of $0-50 million. Members of this group either have a product that is commercially ready or are committed to the goal of achieving commercialization. These companies may already be selling their product and are looking simply for more industry information and for the discounts and exposure that membership brings.

This category is for MEMS entrepreneurs who are sole proprietors. These individuals are both industry veterans and newcomers who represent some of the best expertise in the industry. Because MIG is the industry group representing the entire commercial MEMS industry, we have created this additional membership category to include this important sector of the industry.

The MIG MEMS User/Integrator membership is for companies who use MEMS in their products but who do not actually manufacture MEMS devices themselves. By supporting MIG as a MEMS User, you are supporting initiatives that will make MEMS integration simpler in the future.

If you are a MEMS User/Integrator, you may have someone on staff whose job it is to integrate new technologies into your roadmap. As a MIG member you can send your own staff to MIG events where they can meet with all the people and companies who can make their job of integration simpler. Under the MIG umbrella, they can meet those who created the technology they are integrating. Through working groups and participation at MIG events you will have the opportunity to help resolve MEMS issues that will make product integration easier for you.
