Brewer Science Presents “DSA: How Far Have We Come and How Much Further Is Left to Go?” at SEMICON

September 1, 2016 – Taipei, Taiwan. – Brewer Science is pleased to announce that Semiconductor Business Unit Director Darron Jurajda will be a speaking about directed self-assembly technology (DSA) at SEMICON Taiwan 2016. This event, which will be held September 7 through 9, is focused on the micro- and nanoelectronics industries and is the largest microelectronics event in Taiwan.

 

DSA will provide an opportunity for manufacturers to take advantage of the self-assembling properties of materials to reach nanoscale dimensions, enabling current manufacturing process capabilities to be enhanced. Research conducted at Brewer Science has provided great insight into the advances as well as the challenges that exist in the areas of materials, defectivity, and process integration.

 

“Directed self-assembly (DSA) patterning is one of the primary methods for future patterning nodes,” said Mr. Jurajda. “Ongoing research and investigation of materials has lead to tremendous advances. However, there are still many challenges to conquer before DSA can become a viable patterning option. DSA has the potential to have a major role in the future of semiconductor fabrication.”
