MIG Membership Category - Corporate Annual Cost
MEMS and Sensors Supply Chain Members are companies that are directly involved in the manufacturing of microelectromechanical systems (MEMS) and/or sensors or companies that provide products and services to the MEMS and sensors industry. This also includes integrators, algorithm companies, and end users.  Membership dues are based on a company’s total revenue, not just revenue from MEMS and sensors, and are charged annually.

    (0-3 years in business, sales under $1M)

A MEMS and Sensors New Entrant is a member category created in 2015 to accommodate two types of companies;


• Companies who have entered the MEMS/sensor arena within the last two years and are already established companies

• Companies investigating business opportunities within the MEMS and sensors industry, considering the use of MEMS and sensors in a product line


This membership is applicable for the first TWO YEARS of membership, at which point members will become supply chain category members with dues based on revenue.

MIG Membership Category - Academic Annual Cost
The MEMS Industry Group Academic Membership is for students, professors, and universities. It offers a chance for academia to get involved with MEMS and sensor industry executives, companies, and research organizations in projects, working groups, and at events all year long, to increase academic and industry collaboration. An Academic Membership creates a bridge between budding entrepreneurs, tech transfer departments, university incubators, and the industries they hope to influence.
Students*: For full-time students who seek meaningful networking with future employers and a chance to differentiate themselves from their competition, an Academic Membership in MEMS Industry Group provides myriad global opportunities all year long to meet companies and research institutions who can fund and advance research and offer employment. Importantly, MIG offers access to our extensive Resource Library containing an abundance of business, market and technical presentations that will help students understand industry challenges and opportunities to prepare them for the workplace. And finally, membership in MIG provides access to industry technologies and trends outside a typical University domain.

  • $100 discount to attend MEMS Technical Congress
  • Discount to MIG partner events (when applicable)
*Graduate and Ph.D. level in a MEMS/sensors related field
Professors*: For academic professionals wishing to make contacts in industry for the purpose of partnership and project funding, an Academic Membership in MEMS Industry Group provides myriad opportunities all year long to unite academia with industry, via global events, working groups, regional meetings, special interest groups, attending webinars, and other collaborative activities.
    Benefits include:
  • Access to MIG Resource Library
  • Attend all MIG & partner events at member rate
  • Participate in MIG working groups, task forces, and steering committees
*For tenured professors in a MEMS/Sensors related field
University Departments: For universities wishing to solidify their leadership role as providing cutting edge research and talent to the MEMS and sensors industry, an Academic Membership in the MEMS Industry Group offers the platform to do so, through networking events, speaking opportunities at major global MEMS and sensor conferences, blog opportunities, webinars, and many other activities that give your university the chance to contribute and take a leadership position. Allows for any staff and students to attend MIG events at MIG member rate; all persons working in department are considered members under the University Membership designation.
    Benefits include:
  • Same membership benefits as supply chain companies for tenured professors and full-time research staff within the department
